Since the beginning of recorded human history, there has always been two types of humans: regular and enhanced. Enhanced humans – those born with power – have no choice in the matter; it’s a recessive trait passed on through families and bloodlines. Still, regular and enhanced humans have gotten along, for the most part. Until now.
A group of enhanced humans, calling themselves The Institution, unleashed a vicious terrorist attack on the West Coast of the United States in 2005, wiping out Washington, Oregon, California, as well as the western parts of Idaho and Nevada. An estimated 49 million people, both regular and enhanced, died that day.
As a result, the government crackdown began. It is now illegal to be born with powers. Anyone found to be harboring enhanced humans are branded as traitors and executed. Those with powers are either killed outright or sent to Jonestown Prison, supposedly where they will be rehabilitated. However, Jonestown is actually where scientists employed by a tiny sector of the government secretly experiment on enhanced humans and try to find ways to isolate and replicate these powers. This is only known to a select few, and they don’t want that information out in public. Yet.
It’s not genocide. It’s self-defense.
We take to the streets of New York City, where everything’s gone topsy-turvy. It’s practically a madhouse. And it’s only just begun.
